AFK System Adjustments
Players will now see splashes on the top right of the screen when the game has detected inactivity.
Teammates of AFK players will now see a top right alert when they have a teammate that is detected to be inactive.
We've introduced new AFK alerts and improved detection logic to provide clearer feedback before a player is removed for inactivity. These updates are designed to reduce confusion around AFK removals while also helping target botting behavior that can bypass inactivity checks. We'll continue monitoring performance and refining the system following launch.
Season 06 is a shorter Ranked season, giving us an opportunity to test meaningful changes and evaluate their impact quickly. Our focus is increasing the competitive challenge within the Top 250 while preserving a path to the top of the ladder that does not feel overly punishing. Ranked Play Resurgence will follow the same schedule as Multiplayer Ranked, with three weeks of normal Ranked play followed by one week of Ranked Series.
For Skill Rating, our goal is for progression near the top of the ladder to better reflect consistent performance rather than time played alone. We’re happy with the SR journey for players in the Bronze through Platinum divisions, but we’ve seen significant SR inflation in Diamond and above over the past few seasons. To address this, we’re increasing deployment fees in those top divisions. This will reduce the maximum SR that can be earned in a single match and may significantly compress the Top 250 leaderboard. SR amounts for Division breakpoints will remain unchanged.
We’ll also be disabling SR Challenges for Season 06. These challenges were originally intended to help players reach their true rank faster, but we’ve seen players hold onto them to create a larger SR cushion later in the season. Disabling them will give us a clearer read on the underlying SR system.
These are intentionally aggressive changes designed to make their impact clear during the season. We know increased deployment fees will significantly affect the amount of SR available at the top of the leaderboard, giving us valuable data on whether these changes are achieving their intended goal. We’ll monitor the results closely and adjust our approach in future Ranked experiences as needed.
We’re also expanding the Ranked Play sandbox by making several historically restricted items available in Loadouts, including a thermal scope, a shotgun, and launchers. To preserve counterplay, we’ll reuse the existing one-shot protection system active on snipers in Ranked to help ensure these newly unrestricted items do not cause too much disruption.
These Loadout changes give players more options when dealing with enemies in buildings or vehicles. We’ll monitor their usage and effectiveness throughout the season.
Season 06 will provide valuable data on SR progression, leaderboard separation, Loadout diversity, and the overall feel of Ranked Play at the highest levels. We’ll use that feedback to guide future Competitive experiences.

Supply Drones Rework
Adjusted the overall amount in the sky.
Now only hover above High Value Loot Zones.
Destroying Supply Drones will cause more Supply Drones to spawn up to a specific limit per circle.
Increased the number of Legendary Crates that Supply Drones carry.
Reduce the number of non-Legendary Crates that Supply Drones carry.
Now deploy during infil and stay active longer throughout the match.
Fly more predictably and avoid low-altitude hovering.
No longer spawn in the gas.
We wanted Supply Drones to feel more intentional and they’ll now be more predictable, concentrate around High Value Loot Zones, stay in the sky longer and offer better loot.
» Resurgence «
Quickdrop Kits Adjustment
Added a new loot splash that displays the amount of cash earned when Quickdrop Kits are automatically converted.
We've added a new loot splash to make it clearer when Quickdrop Kits are automatically converted into cash, helping you better understand where that extra cash came from.

Unlockable via Weekly Challenge Reward.
The goal of this update was to shake up the AR and SMG meta by bringing down a few of the strongest performers and giving some lesser-used options more room to compete. The AN-94 has had a strong run at the top of the meta, and we were comfortable giving it that moment. With this balance pass, we’re bringing it back in line with the rest of the AR category while making targeted improvements to a few underused weapons. Overall, we’re happy with where most weapons are currently landing, so this pass is focused more on addressing clear outliers and buffing low performers.
